Apparently, to be an author in 2023 a website is required. Who knew?
In any event, I’m pleased to be able to share this with you. It has been about three years since I wound down HoochLaw, and perhaps seven since the last TSMK post. I’ve missed writing a blog – missed the immediacy of it and the interaction with readers.
A lot has happened in the last several years. We had a pandemic, for example. A lot of us spent that time trying to learn to bake decent sourdough, taking up new hobbies, or simply trying not to die. My sourdough was a disappointment. Hope yours was better.
Going forward, I’ll be using this space to share anything and everything within the narrow slice of the Venn diagram representing the intersection of what I think is interesting and what I think others may find of interest. A fair amount of that may be odd. Quite a lot of it may be pretty mundane.
And since this is an author site, I’ll be using it to share information about things I’ve written (or are currently writing). I’ve done quite a bit of that in the last few years. A book of poems published earlier this year. My first completed Novel, HERBVANA, is scheduled for publication in a few short weeks. I’ve got a short story currently under consideration for inclusion in an anthology (fingers crossed – but if it doesn’t get picked up I’ll publish it on this site). And I’m well on my way to completion of my second novel – tentatively titled The Commitment. I don’t want to go into too much detail on that one just yet – but I will share that it involves a psychic, a psychiatrist, and philosopher. What more could you want?
Thank you for coming to the site. If you’re a prior reader of HoochLaw or TSMK, I look forward to reconnecting with you. And if we’ve not met – welcome.
Brian
